1,373cc petrol generates 68 kW of power at 6,000 rpm with a torque of 130 Nm at 4,000 rpm and gives a mileage of 20.73 kmpl when coupled with manual transmission and 19.12 kmpl of mileage when coupled with automatic transmission.
1,248cc diesel SHVS produces a power of 66 kW at 4,000 rpm with a torque of 200 Nm at 1,750 rpm and offers 28.09 kmpl of mileage.

Ciaz features aggressive dual port headlight cluster housing projector headlamps at the base of the cluster and turn indicators on the top of the cluster. It also gets follow-me-home headlamps which keep the headlights on for a limited period of time after the car is off and locked.
The fog lights are round and are housed around black surroundings in the bumpers.
Maruti has graced the Ciaz with a very elegant look. The front of the car holds a grille with four vertical chrome strips which hold the Suzuki insignia. The air dam is held in the bumper and is done fully in black.
Keyless entry is available as a standard feature in all variants of the Ciaz.

Z+ variants of Ciaz come equipped with alloy wheels wrapped in 195/55 R16 tyres. Z variants get alloy wheels and the remaining models get steel rims wrapped in 185/65 R15 tyres. The ground clearance of Ciaz is 170mm.
Competition Check: 176/65 R15 tyres are used in City. The V variants get alloy wheels, the remaining ones are equipped with steel rims. The car, like the Hyundai’s offering, has a ground clearance of 165mm, 5mm less than that of Ciaz. Verna features R16 diamond cut 2 tone alloys in its top variant.
The dimensions of Ciaz are: 4,490mm x 1,730mm x 1,485mm (L x W x H). The ground clearance of the car is 170mm.The Ciaz features in 7 paint schemes: Pearl Snow White, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Pearl Sangria Red, Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Glistening Gray, Pearl Midnight Black and Metallic Clear Beige.

The front wheels of Ciaz come equipped with disc brakes, whereas, the rear get drum brakes. Only the base variants of the car do not get ABS as standard.
Competition Check: City and Verna have ABS and EBD as standard features in all the variants. Both cars, like the Ciaz, house disc brakes at the front wheels and drum brakes at the rear.
Ciaz features wrap around tail lights with the reverse light and turn indicators placed inside the red cluster. The cluster also splits at the boot and touches the chrome slat on the boot lid.
Ciaz has a boot storage capacity of 510 litres.
Competition Check: The luggage storing space of City is same as that of Ciaz with a capacity of 510 litres. Verna has the smallest boot in the segment with only 480 litres of storage space.
The Z and Z+ variants of the Ciaz are equipped with rear parking sensors and camera. However, the V+ models only get parking sensors. The remaining variants do not get these safety features.
Competition Check: V variants of the City get a multi-view rear camera and rear parking sensors.Verna also features rear parking sensors and rear camera in all except the base variant to assist the driver.
Except for the base variant, all variants of the Ciaz get a 3-spoke power steering which houses multi-functional switches and is covered with leather upholstery. Its instrument cluster has two round-shaped analog meters that display RPM and vehicle's speed. It also houses a digital information display, which provides informatics like trip-meter, fuel consumption, outside temperature, driver's seat belt reminder and ignition key-in warning lamp.
The VXi+ and ZXi variants of Ciaz get 4-speed automatic transmission system. All the other models of the car house a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Although the Ciaz has better space in between the seats and can seat 3 rear passengers more comfortably, tall passengers might find the headroom a little shy and feel more comfortable in the City.
